"Paula's Choice has never tested on animals at any stage of product development and never will. We also do not contract with any third parties to conduct animal testing on our behalf. We're part of the Leaping Bunny Program, which means not only have we eliminated animal testing from our company, but also from our ingredient suppliers.
Paula's Choice supports many charities focused on animal welfare such as the Humane Society, ASPCA and NAVS. Paula's Choice is a dog-friendly office, with most of our employees bringing their canine companions to work each day."
"Paula’s Choice Skincare is among the first U.S. based companies to enter the Chinese Market using the new Leaping Bunny China guidelines. This ensures that all our products sold in China will remain cruelty-free. Paula’s Choice worked directly with an organization named Knudsen CRC who partners with Cruelty Free International to help brands get into the Chinese market ethically and responsibly.
Many cosmetic products manufactured in China have not required animal testing since 2014 and last year, regulations in China changed meaning that more cosmetics can also be imported into China without a requirement for animal testing. The Chinese authorities are accepting an increasing number of non-animal alternatives, and Unilever has been supporting them for over 10 years to develop capability in non-animal cosmetics safety assessment approaches.
Post-market testing would only be required if there were a serious consumer safety concern; Chinese Authorities will notify us if there were such a concern, so Unilever can withdraw the product rather than it be subject to animal testing."
